If you believed only females got knocked out by "date-rape" drugs, then think again. You have to be aware that the stuff is being used also to rob people.
Kvue.com reports about cases in Texas (Dallas and Houston) where women allegedly have targeted men at hotel night clubs and used some type of drugs to spike their drinks.
A police spokesman said that this has happened shortly after meeting them,and that the rest of the night is a blur until they find their property gone when they wake up the next morning. All of these male victims wore expensive watches, police said.
Police said these professional crooks are flirtatious, and that at least 8-cases have been reported since November 2007.

A French television host, accused of attacking and sexually harassing Air France cabin staff while under the influence of alcohol, will appear in court next month, a court official said on Monday.
The man was detained on Sunday after returning from a visit to South Africa. According to French media, witnesses said he insulted cabin staff on board an Air France flight to South Africa on February 13, fondled a fellow passenger and slapped an air steward who tried to prevent him from drinking.
He was forcibly restrained, finishing the flight tied to his seat, media said, and cabin staff filed charges against him.

Step outside!

UK -- A 19-year-old footballer and karate coach is in a coma a week after being attacked in a Calderdale pub on Mad Friday. The student was punched once after a row with a drinker in the Albert pub.
Police believe he crumpled to the ground outside the bar and bashed his head while his attacker fled.
He was out with work mates but left the busy pub after falling out with another drinker, possibly over a spilt drink.
The man followed him and hit him in the head from behind. He has not regained consciousness since the attack, which left him with two serious head injuries and a collapsed lung.

Biting
Biting in self-defense is actually very effective! Nothing fancy - but then again, fancy seldom works.
There have been a number of reports on people who used this method to avoid serious situations.
Story:
South Africa -- A policewoman has freed herself from a potential rapist by biting off his tongue.
The 40-year-old suspect, who works at a chain store in Bushbuckridge, was admitted to Mapulaneng hospital in Limpopo in a serious condition just before midnight on Monday.
The woman said the man had lured her into his house after they had been drinking together.

The common denominator
What is present in most occurrences of violence? Answer: Alcohol.
Some even call alcohol the most commonly used date rape "drug", and I tend to agree.
Did you know that research shows that 90 percent of date rapes occur when either the victim or attacker was drinking?
If you didn't then you know now, and I honestly hope you'll go easy on certain beverages! It is possible to have fun and stay safe at the same time...
