South Africa -- Everyone watched but no one did anything as a young woman recently battled an assailant wielding a screwdriver and demanding money.
A large crowd gathered among the Saturday shoppers outside a wholesaler in the industrial area, but not one bystander tried to help the victim.
The woman told the Hermanus Times that she is “still in shock” and asked that her name, her place of work and the name of the wholesaler not be divulged.
